Review Sony PlayStation 3 Slim Console

Excellent all round media package.
Some things not mentioned in the product description; This is a new CECH-3003A console which comes loaded with firmware 3.65 and will require an update to 3.70 if you intend to use PSN. The controller which comes with the console is a vibrating DualShock3 with six-axis, not the non-vibrating original controller the description wrongly states.

I've been a happy...

Good for 2 years but after that stops reading blue ray discs...
I bought my PS3 2 years ago. It worked beautifully... no problem at all. But then it stopped reading blue ray discs. I did some research and found that it is a common issue and internet forums are full of such reports. So I tried going through all the solutions on net... did not work... so finally called up Sony... they advised me to format the hard drive... did it...

5.0 out of 5 stars 550D The best yet
Put simply this is the most important camera to be released in years.

What I find astonishing that people have spent £750 on a DSLR as good as this and complain about the video issues. I work in TV and deal with professional cameras and footage for broadcast on a daily basis and I can tell you with every bit of my professional opinion that this camera is...

3.0 out of 5 stars canon 550d not for video
I bought canon 550D to replace my old trusty 350D (in that respect it works like a charm, the quality of the pictures is phenomenal!). However, if you are buying it to shoot video, don't bother. It is difficult to adjust the focus relying on the little screen, especially in bright sunlight, you can't use the AF function, well you can but it makes a horrible racket and the...

Review Canon EOS 650D Digital SLR Camera - Black (Inc. 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens Kit)

Canon EOS 650D Digital SLR Camera

Canon EOS 650D Digital SLR Camera - Black (Inc. 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens Kit)
Overall this camera is spectacular.
Some very nice features that set it above other cameras in the range.

Autofocus is fast and exceedingly accurate with the 18-55mm kit lens.
This includes the in video focusing, which is better than I expected but not outstanding, although, I'll update this when I have an STM lens! you do get quite a lot of focusing noise in video footage when used with a non-STM lens, though again, I'll update when I have one.

The HDR mode is very good, there are no problems with image alignment when shooting handheld.
Night shooting is the same story, I have got some very good pictures.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Affordable DSLR camera, amazing pic quality
I am a professional photographer with over 15 years using Hassleblads, Large format and other big camera's. I now also teach photography via my company Studio Time Ltd in London, so every week I get to see students camera's which are from a variety of manufactures. A lot of people buy the new range of 4 thirds interchangeable lens cameras, which are so tricky to use, and...

3.0 out of 5 stars some issues...
This is a nice camera to handle, the only dissapointing thing is when using the view finder the image is small which doesn't help when composing pictures.I use to have a canon AE1 program which was much better in regards to this, also the split circle focusing was a much better idea than manually focusing with the entire screen, the close up focusing option is aukward to...

4.0 out of 5 stars Smashing Sammy Budget Tablet, I Love it.
I was going to wait for the galaxy note 10.1, but then decided that I didn't really need a top spec tablet at a top spec price. I managed to get mine a few weeks before the u k launch, on Amazon but it cost me a little more £329 when AMAZON HAVE IT IN STOCK you should not have to pay more than £299, if out of stock they seem to get them again in a day or so, so don't get...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as I had hoped
I thought that this ticked all the boxes but after a couple of days I am a little disappointed. For a start it was meant to include stereo headphones but, even though it appeared still security sealed there was no sign of the headphones in the box. The picture is slow to respond to movement. It seems to struggle opening some files especially maps. It seems to have...

GOOGLE NEXUS S UNLOCKED

GOOGLE NEXUS S UNLOCKED CELL PHONE
POSITIVE: Android Gingerbread - endless customization- fast, next to no lag- vibrant, colourful display

NEGATIVES:No SD card slot- Android market still needs a LOT of work- applying screen protectors to the contour screen is hell

Review Samsung Galaxy Nexus 16GB Sim Free Smartphone

Samsung Galaxy Nexus 16GB

Samsung Galaxy Nexus 16GB Sim Free Smartphone
I've now owned this phone for around 2 weeks, and I am incredibly impressed with it. Here are my impressions of it:
Build
The build is surprisingly good, I was worried about the fact it's mostly plastic but I'm actually really grateful. It's much lighter than my old Desire Z (which doubled as a paperweight) and also incredibly thin. The curved screen is not very noticeable but just exudes awesomeness when you have it casually laying on a table. I really like that the front has very few features when the screen is off, and looks very understated. A lot of my friends have complemented me on it! My biggest issue with the phone is that the screen is huge and really difficult to operate one-handed unless you have big hands (I don't). There's a lot of hand-shuffling from the top to the bottom, or using two hands.
Screen
The screen is really nice. I have had no issues with the auto-dimming feature other people have found, it

Small, compact, Hi-Def, Good price and... RUBBISH!!! Cant pick up natural lights very well so a real dissapointment when I played back my 1 Year old opening her Christmas presents only to have to squint to make her out. Sound not all that good and you need a degree in all sciences to work out the menu screen... When it works! The screen turned bright green and viewed...

Reviews Apple iPod touch 32GB - White - 4th Generation

Thursday, 19 July 2012 | 0 comments

Way, way exceeded my expectations
I have been bowled over by this little device.

I bought it thinking that it would be a good replacement iPod for my ancient model, with a bit of mobile browsing thrown in - very useful as I didn't want to be chained to my laptop.

But the iPod Touch turned out to be so, so much more than this. It takes a generational leap forward in gadgetry,...

*Update 15/05/12 It's not been long over a year and a half and my iPod has given up the ghost! One day it was fine and the next I get a battery graphic with a thin red bar indicating it's too low on power and needs charging. But it was in one of my speaker docks on charge when this happened which was odd. So I used the apple sync lead and tried charging it via my pc's...

My partner got me this for Christmas. Seemed like a good tablet, has a mini-HDMI port, 3G USB Stick port (which CAN be used for other usb devices... such as external hard drives, usb thumb drives etc, and can play movies straight off the thumb drive etc) To use a USB device you will have to turn 3G on in the settings/quick settings.

The unit I received had a faulty audio jack, so it was impossible to play sound through headphones. The even worse problem I had was that it would repeatedly click the back button for no reason when holding it in certain positions.

Although I received a faulty unit, Amazons support was FANTASTIC. Spoke to a live chat rep, and he sent me out a replacement straight away via First Class (receiving it today/tomorrow)..............

Review ODYS Multi Graphic Tablet (Wireless Pen, USB 2.0) - Grey

Excellent product for home use
This was a Christmas present for a very artistic daughter. She use it for drawing pictures and writing comic books as well as some basic graphic editing. No software issues with drivers or slowing down the PC. We run it under WIN 7. The product performs perfectly for these tasks. For heavy processional users such as photo studios or architects it might also perform but I...

3.0 out of 5 stars not quite up to the job of mouse replacement
I bought this to have another type of device to use a mouse. I used to use a wacom years ago and was very pleased with it, so I thought I'd try using a tablet again. Sadly it's not quite up to that job. Most of the problems could be fixed with new drivers.

First problem. No equivalent of a scroll wheel or using two fingers to scroll as on a trackpad. It would...

I like this little thing.

I have a macbook pro and S3 smartphone so kind of the best of both worlds in terms of Mac OS and Android. I also have a three year old who was obsessed with the ipad I brought home from work - however to splash out £400 for the latest one (or even £300 for ipad2/ high end 7 inch android tablet) is not yet within my budget and not worth the stress if my lad damaged it. My wife also just wanted something to view family pics/vids and surf the internet. One day I will get an ipad - I'm just selfish and want to keep all the branded expensive technology to myself!

First up, this does not have 3G, Bluetooth or GPS (to my knowledge) But hey, thats what I pay £25 a month for my smartphone for.

The screen is good enough but not spectacular
Loud volume, slightly tinny but better than others I have heard
Instruction booklet is poor if you are not used to Android but I understand that if you email A1CS they can send you a pdf booklet with more info?
Light, solid and portable..................
