Ok, I'm not an expert of the computer technology stuff. But I ordered this laptop two weeks ago. It came today. I checked the system. It is Intel i7 -3610QM CPU, RAM Installed memory 8GB (NOT 16 GB), storage space 750 GB (NOT 1.5 TB), and there is a DVD driver (no blu ray driver). The plug is not in UK form, maybe American or Chinese form. When I was buying this, it was 1700 pounds, and it said it would come with a colour printer, which I DID NOT recieve. Other than all of those, the laptop seems pretty cool playing with. So one star off for each lie the seller told us.......................
I bought the Aspire 5750 model with a i5-2430M processsor, 4GB of ram and a 500gb HD for £400 in late April - far cheaper than anything else I saw available with this spec.
Delivery: Delivery from Amazon was apparently quite speedy but quite amazingly the delivery company left the package with the laptop in a "secure location" at the delivery address, which appears to be mean the common entrance in the block of flats where I live. There's 50 flats in my block and it's in a pretty dodgy area of bristol - pretty unsurprisingly the laptop was nowhere to be seen when I got home from the office.
I think it is ridiculous that the delivery company will leave a laptop in a common entrance without any confirmation of receipt- they need to review their delivery policy.,.
I phoned up Amazon when I checked the online tracking and realised it had been apparently delivered 2 days earlier. To their credit they were very responsive and arranged a replacement to be sent to me which arrived 2 days later. Overall great customer service in sorting out an issue.................
Excellent LED IPS monitor for the price I bought this 23" monitor when my Dell 22" monitor bought in 2008 packed up. I chose it ahead of the Acer S240HLbid 24" because, although very slightly smaller, it has an IPS (rather than TN) screen and has good technical reviews elsewhere for its colour fidelity and value for money.
I'm very happy with it - images and text are crisp and the colours are bright...
3.0 out of 5 starsGood value but worth spending a bit more. This IPS monitor reproduces colours very nicely and it was great value when I bought it for c. £111 from Amazon. It was fine for playing Skyrim too, no lag at all and no ghosting that I could see. However my monitor had fairly nasty backlight bleed and strong purplish tones to the blacks in the bottom corners and I had to send it back. I might have taken a chance on a...
asy to use, average-good speeds and a nice price I have been waiting for Amazon to restock this product for ages! All the other sellers have them for ~£28 but Amazon sells them for the bargain price of £17.82. It's a really great price - especially when Three sell them for £30!
It arrives in a tiny little box containing the USB modem itself, a 3 SIM card with 1GB data preloaded on it, a couple of little paper...
1.0 out of 5 stars3connect software crashes on startup (Win7 64 + the latest Flash player) Received my dongle this morning and it simply does not work when attempting to use it on a Windows 7 machine. After initial plug-in, all the device drivers automatically install and a manual run of autoplay is then needed to install the 3connect dashboard software (which is used to control the connection). So far so good.
I love it! This is a great bit of kit. Works a treat. Looked at a lot of tablets before deciding on this one. Great screen lots of ports, very fast and a working SD card. Decided to get the 16Gb version as I thought the 32Gb a little expensive. Installed lots of apps and HD games and still only used 4Gb. You can put all your movies, music and photos on the SD card to save main memory...
Nice screen and build quality, but poor wifi, locked down, and lots of bloatware I've only had this for a few days, but have found the wireless reception to be very weak, so it doesn't stay online in areas of my house that have good reception on our Mac minis or Asus EEE netbooks. Apparently, this is caused by the auto-update to Android 3.2, but should be fixed.
The other problem is the large number of intrusive and unwanted programs...
Archos 7 8GB Home Tablet V2 MP4/MP3/Photo viewer(Eclair)
I find the archos 7 a very good product. It does everything I need it to, and a lot more. I wish there was a manual. With a lot more instructions on how to work. It but I am gradually working my way around it video is very good with good battery lif........................
Delivery was very quick and well packaged. The playbook itself is absolutely fantastic. The feel and quality of product one that is well made and its good size. Brilliant for work and great to sit and generally browse through net at home..........
Arrived the day after I ordered it. Awesome machine. I had a DVD and BBC iPlayer running an HD programme simultaneously with Firefox running with ten open tabs while working on a 30,000 word Open Office document and editing a photograph with Elements and it didn't pause for breath. It's a beautiful looking machine also. I was quite surprised that Windows Media Player is the default program for playing DVDs as it didn't have the required codecs to do this on my last laptop although that was a Vista machine. Sound is impressive, clear and quite loud for a laptop, with plenty of base while playing BBC iPlayer in HD is amazing, with no buffering nor drop out. I hate scroll pads and always use a mouse with laptops but this one is a joy to use. It is in fact a Touch Pad and you can scroll by just drawing two fingers down the pad, (or across to scroll horizontally). You can also pinch the pad to zoom in or out, particularly useful when editing photographs and the pad is backlit by a white accent light which........................
