I received this player today from GTR Electonics, a day or two ahead of the estimated delivery time.

First impressions are that the tablet looks good, lives up to its specifications, and it meets all of my needs very well indeed.

Construction is of plastics but is not plastiky. There is a nice weight to it and the size is fine for my big hands. There is little or no flexing of the case despite it being quite thin.

It is easy to use (even for a 69 year old) and the screen is very good for viewing photos and maps, and for watching movies (the sound from the speakers is a bit quiet but clear).

My illustrated technical ebooks are easy to read and the multi-touch zooming is quick and light. I used Amazon's Kindle app which runs very well. The large screen is very helpful where there are complex diagrams and illustrations.

Internet response is very good too..................

Review A1CS X220 TABLET 10.2" ANDROID 2.2, WIFI, MIFI, HDMI, 1080P, GPS WITH CAM

I did some serious research into the Tablet market before deciding to buy the A1CS X220 Android Tablet some ten days ago. It seemed to offer everything I wanted - book reader, internet, email, MP3 player, photo and video viewer, and at a price I was prepared to pay. And it has proved to do all these things and more - I really am pleased and impressed with this product. It is well built, comes with GPS aerial, and transformer with an 8 foot cable, making it easy to use well away from a power point. It is comfortable to hold, light enough to use in bed or in a chair, and I have also used it on a train. The battery lasts for at least three hours before it needs recharging and you can use it with the mains connected as well, although I prefer not too as the mains input cable could get in the way, get pulled and thus damaged. The tablet has three inputs, two USB and one Micro SD card which can take up to 32 Gig capacity.

Never having experience an Android device before, it took me a few days and a lot of fun to get used to the system. Android 2.2 is designed for both Tablets and Telephones and this could cause problems though in practice it has not done so. There is a huge variety of Apps available that cover just about everything you might ever need and some you wonder 'why?'. It comes with a good range of useful apps already loaded including QuickOffice, Google Maps and a GPS program, email and Gmail apps, Amazon Kindle, Skype, and a browser, and a range of apps that make the system work effectively. There is a wide range of free apps available through the already installed Google 'Market'. The Manual is small, but almost perfectly formed, and it does contain most of the information you will need at the beginning, although you may need to try things a few times until you get it right. You can also download a Google Android 2.2 Manual from the Internet which is a bit more comprehensive........................

2.0 out of 5 stars Service excellent but not so sure about the tablet, (Not sure on service either now.)
I bought this tablet a few days ago and my initial reaction was very good. I went for the premium model because I wanted that clearer screen and I have to say that part does not disappoint in any way. I played an HD movie straight from a micro SD card and it was flawless with excellent viewing angles and really good sound as well. The touch screen was very responsive and...

3.0 out of 5 stars App Market issue
Firstly, I must say that in accordance with other reviews here, the customer service I received was excellent.

Unfortunately, though, I was shipped a unit whose boot software was faulty, which is apparently a rarity. So while the tablet did not work for me, I can at least comment on its build quality: it's excellent, robust, a good weight, well-finished and...

Bought the iPad 2 after owning and still using an iPhone 4 32GB smart phone. At the time I bought a standard win 7 laptop to use around the house and surf the web with etc.. The only downside to the laptop was the setting up, powering up and waiting on win 7 to start up before you can do anything. In the end I started to use my IPhone to surf and email, and found this very convenient as it was always switched on and no boot up times :-) coupled with the touch screen interface just made it natural to use. So the next step for me was the iPad, due to the bigger screen and onscreen keyboard made this a no brainer, plus as I have found out you can copy the same apps from the iPhone via ITunes to the iPad when you first plug it in, also the HD iPad only apps make this even better..................

Very good, but a few cautionary points.
I'm sure the vast majority of those buying an iPad 2 will be very pleased with it. For the most part it lives up to the hype and is a very seductive piece of kit. After downloading iTunes onto the computer and registering, setting up the iPad is a doddle as it's simply a case of connecting it to the computer and the automatic 'synching' process does the rest...

Luxury Technology
I bought this for a relation because that is what they wanted. But I have to say while it is an impressive looking bit of Tech it is WAY OVERPRICED for what it really is. There is no real reason anybody should want to buy this other than for prestige or blinded by the shiny-shiny nature of a new piece of consumerism.
Firstly I have to presume if you're thinking about...

Not bad
With this little machine you get a good deal for your money. It's definitely cheaper then assembling a similar PC yourself as Acer gets a good discount on their pre-installed Windows OS. It's a shame that they don't include a CD but there is a product key on the side of the case, so there is a way around it if you want to use a bigger HDD in the future. It also comes in...

Proper Laptop
I've just got this laptop from Amazon. It is way better than I expected, quite fast and has a brilliant screen! its very bright and has perfect colors! The first thing that I did was a system speed test and I got better results than the average for its processor.

There are only two things that I am not happy with; keyboard and speaker. Keyboard doesnt give me...

2OK product
Product feels OK and works OK so far but concerned about the build / quality. Should have been more cheaper for the quality.
