Review LG D2342P-PN 23 inch Widescreen 3D LED Monitor

Amazing monitor.
I was on the market for a new Monitor and i was just going to buy a cheap 22" 1080p monitor. Then i did some digging, and finally come to this product. I Tried to find information about this monitor but hadn't come up with anything at all about it. I read user reviews and as many as i could find because you have to know what the quality is like.

Anyway where do...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great for PC owners, not so much for Mac
If you own a thunderbolt display port equipped mac, don't even bother.

I bought this to view stereoscopic images in my 3D software, so I wouldn't have to wear migraine inducing anaglyphe red/blue glasses. And for the brief interludes between thunderbolt port incompatibility induced static (which varied in intensity depending on resolution and refresh rate, but...

Brilliant
I used an LG DVD writer in my PC for years with zero problems, burning absolutely everything without complaint, so I never even considered another brand when it came time to upgrade to a BluRay drive.

Easy to install, auto recognised by Windows XP, didn't bother installing anything from the accompanying driver CD, and it works perfectly.

One note, as...

1.0 out of 5 stars Stay Clear ! This Drive is terrible
I bought this a few months back, first one arrived in a tatty box and looks damaged (was chipped at the back). I installed it and it seems to work, I tried out the lightscribe function and the results were terrible ( I use a HP lightscribe drive in my office and that works great) so based on that I sent the first one back as faulty.

Amazon as usual were great...

Its a little unfortunate that Nintendo decided to call this 3DS. Whereas this also has two screens this is about where the comparisons pretty much end. This is not just an updated piece of kit, this is a whole new handheld experience.

Overall the machine looks like the orignal Dsi, its about the same size but is much thicker. People have complained that the casing is cheap plastic, but hey this is Nintendo, even the higher end products are made out of plastic, in nintendo land dont expect brushed metal and bulletproofing. Its all very shiny and your average CSI agents wet dream in fingerprints. But anyone who even owned a Nintendo product knows allready about build qualities so i wont go waffling on about that. Open the thing up and once again it looks like a DSI, the buttons have moved about, theres a joypad nub thingy and the top screen is much larger. So far an updated DSI, right ?................

This is a review for the 6GB RAM, 750GB HDD version of the Acer 5750G with the Intel i5 2430M processor. Amazon don't list this computer as the 5750G (they have it just as the 5750), but that is what it says on the box.
First of all I was surprised by the sturdiness of the laptop, having read several times that Acer can be a bit plasticky. This machine is solid and is also very elegent looking in a mesh black cover. The mesh is to prevent fingerprint marks.
The touchpad pad is very sensitive, almost too sensitive. I prefer to use a mouse. Start up is quick and so is shut down. Getting started for the first time takes about 10 minutes. Acer recommend that the owner create recovery disks in case of future problems. There is a total of about 18GB of information to record. This requires 5 DVD recordable disks. 4 for the factory settings and 1 for the applications and drivers. This all takes about 1 hour.
If you want to install further programs like MS Office or Outlook then the set up time will be longer. This computer does not have Outlook. Outlook is now sold seperately by Microsoft for about £90 for a disk. A lot of MS office programs no longer have Outlook on them.
McAfee Antivirus protection is given free for 2 months.....................

My friend bought one of these laptops. The laptop is excellent in every regard. But 6 days after buying it, she started getting phone calls from someone claiming to be 'The Windows Department'. Apparently her computer was causing a problem on the servers and she needed to purchase some software to fix it. They called 3 times using high pressure sales tactics. I'm pleased to say she had the common sense to consult me before parting with her credit card number...................
